Once your account has been created, you will be given a profile page where you can upload a profile picture, provide a brief description about yourself, and even change your current location if you happen to move to another state or country.
The image currently being shown is that of a user by the name of Jason. On his user profile you can rate him. For example, let say he's a fraud and/or does not come through with his swaps, you can give him a rating of 1, by selecting the correct star with your mouse and clicking on it, further downgrading his viability in regards to other users. Also, you can leave a comment about him in the comment section of his page.
Lastly, on the profile page, there are two buttons. One is named Upload and the
other Message User. The upload button allows you to upload a scan lottery ticket
to this particular user. To prevent fraud, you will need to select the name of
the lottery game from the dropdown box; enter in the lotto numbers, the serial
number of the lotto ticket (every lotto ticket has one), and the date of the
drawing exactly as required by the instructions. See Fig. 5. Once you submit this
information, the user will receive the uploaded image in his/hers image upload
mail box. From there, they can verify the authenticity of the ticket with the
information entered by the uploading user. (Please make sure that the
information displayed about the ticket is exactly as what is shown on the
ticket. If not, the ticket might be fraudulent. In this case, please report the
user. After three reports, the user will be permanently banned from the site.)
The message user button allows you to send emails back and forth to various
users on the site. (All emails/uploaded scanned tickets will be deleted after 20
days. So it is your responsibility to download and save the tickets/emails that
was sent to you to your computer.) For example, you can email a user to tell
him/her to buy a particular ticket with your lucky number: 41,25,48,35,25,04,21.
And to guarantee a fair mutual transaction, you will buy a ticket for him/her in
your state as well. This is the main purpose of SwapLotto.com; to provide a
mutual ticket swap.
Creating an account is very straight forward. Simply fill out the necessary text
boxes with the required information. Such information will include a username, a
password with a minimum of 7 characters, and an email address. In order safeguard against the potential for fraud
and to ensure a vibrant community of lottery ticket swappers, your correct residential address is needed. (This information is not shared with anyone!)
Moving on, at the bottom of
the signup form you will see a statement inquiring if you are a For Profit
Swapper. Just to reiterate, a For Profit Swapper is someone who is willing to
buy a ticket in a particular country or state, in exchange for a small minimum
fee. Select Yes, if you wish to be a For Profit Swapper or leave it as it is, if
not. To complete the sign up process simply press, Create Account and you are
all done.
Searching on SwapLotto.com is very simple. To search for users in a particular geographical region; you can either select the country and state from the drop down selection boxes and then proceed to press the search button, which will display the result for that query, or you can narrow down your search to a particular city by also entering the city name in the city textbox, in addition to the country and state selection. See Fig. 1
On the other hand if you wish to search for one individual you can do so by clicking on the Search by Username link under the search button. This will lead you to the page in Fig. 2, where you can enter in the username and obtain the individual user you are searching for.
